A comprehensive Women Rights Defender Training was successfully conducted by Sakhi Kendra at its office, with the objective of strengthening capacity building, empowerment, and legal awareness among participants. The training program was designed to equip women with essential knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively advocate for women’s rights and support survivors of violence and discrimination.

The sessions focused on building a strong understanding of legal rights, protection laws, government schemes, and available support systems, enabling participants to guide women in distress and facilitate access to justice. In addition, the training emphasized leadership development, communication skills, documentation, counseling basics, and community mobilization strategies, empowering women to act as informed and responsible change agents within their communities.

Through interactive discussions, practical case studies, and expert guidance, the training enhanced participants’ ability to identify rights violations, provide first-level support, and connect survivors with appropriate services. This initiative significantly contributed to strengthening grassroots-level advocacy, promoting gender justice, and building a network of empowered women leaders committed to advancing equality, dignity, and social transformation.
