One Billion Rising Campaign – Community Awareness

As part of the global One Billion Rising Campaign, Sakhi Kendra organized a series of comprehensive awareness programs across different communities to address the critical issues of gender-based violence, women’s rights, and gender equality. The campaign aimed to sensitize individuals, families, and community leaders about the importance of creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for women and girls.

The awareness sessions included interactive discussions, group activities, and educational workshops designed to enhance understanding of women’s legal rights, personal safety, health, and dignity. Special emphasis was placed on encouraging open dialogue, breaking social taboos, and challenging harmful norms and stereotypes that contribute to violence and discrimination.
